Investing in MyoWorks

Mastercraft Ventures has invested in MyoWorks, a Wisconsin-based company that builds smart devices with integrated software for chiropractors, physical therapists, and other musculoskeletal care providers.

Our interest started with a question: What happens when the physical tools practitioners use every day become intelligent?

AI is already changing healthcare software. We believe the physical instruments used to deliver care are a natural next step.

Built From the Practice

Founder Dr. Jeremy Quick spent more than a decade as a practicing chiropractor. He experienced one of the fundamental constraints of the business firsthand: a practitioner’s time is finite.

Chiropractic is a fragmented industry dominated by small and independent practices. For an owner-practitioner, growth generally means seeing more patients or generating more revenue from each visit. Both have limits.

Dr. Quick focused on the latter. In his own clinic, he began combining treatment methods that were traditionally performed sequentially, allowing him to provide additional treatment within the same appointment. He says the approach contributed to a 20% increase in practice revenue.

From Analog to Smart Devices

Most tools used in musculoskeletal care perform a treatment but capture little information about what happened. MyoWorks is designed to change that.

“Chiropractic has always been part art and part science, but existing tools capture very little of that knowledge,” Dr. Quick said. “By connecting them to software, we can learn from how treatments are performed and ultimately use that information to improve how we care for patients.”

MyoWorks’ devices are used for physical treatment while also seamlessly capturing treatment data and uploading it to software that generates clinical documentation. But documentation is only the first application.

As more treatments generate structured data, that information could help practitioners understand patient progress, compare approaches, and inform clinical decisions. The physical instrument becomes both a treatment tool and a source of proprietary clinical data.

The Investment Thesis

For Mastercraft, the thesis extends beyond chiropractic.

We believe more physical tools will become connected, data-generating systems. Companies that control both the instrument and the software have the potential to build proprietary datasets that software-only businesses cannot easily replicate.

That is what makes MyoWorks compelling. It combines a problem discovered through years of clinical practice with a broader technological shift we believe is just beginning.

“We think an interesting next step for AI is moving beyond the screen and into the physical tools people use every day,” said Mason Cook of Mastercraft Ventures. “The opportunity is not just smarter tools, but the data they can create.”

Mastercraft Ventures is excited to back MyoWorks as it builds toward that future.
